Founded in 2003, Damon Liss Design is a nationally recognized interior design firm. Led by Damon Liss, the firm marries the personal touch of a local atelier with the resources and expertise of New York’s premier design studios.
Each project is approached with a focus on timeless design, a mix of historical references and contemporary living, but most importantly, a deep respect for the way his clients want to live.
Damon’s interest in design began in his father’s bespoke clothing stores, Women’s Haberdashers, where he was exposed to diverse European fabrics and the world of luxury fashion. He gained early professional experience working for various A-list designers; when the firm he was with closed its doors, Damon was inspired to establish his own practice.
The firm’s headquarters—a remarkable Tribeca storefront—has become a hyper-local fixture in the community, welcoming industry friends, clients, and neighborhood visitors seeking unique, deeply personal spaces informed by collectible vintage furnishings and art spanning decades and continents.
The firm’s team of 15 talented design professionals provides a full range of in-house services, including custom fabrication of textiles, wall coverings, furniture, cabinetry, millwork, and curated antique collections. For over two decades, the Liss team has developed enduring relationships with the top artisans in the field with whom they collaborate on every project.
Damon Liss Design has worked on residential and commercial projects across the U.S., from a mid-century, art-filled residence in Palm Springs to ski houses in Park City, and even a gorgeous waterfront restaurant in Montauk.
